Julianne Sitch

Born and raised in Oswego, Illinois, Sitch attended Oswego High School where she was Illinois High School Gatorade player of the year in 2002. Sitch attended DePaul University where she set career records in goals, assists, and points. Was named Conference USA player of the Year and earning NSCAA All- American in 2003. While competing in college, Sitch represented the USA with the U-21 National Team competing in Brazil and winning the Nordic Cup in Iceland.

Sitch went on to be drafted 5th round by Sky Blue in 2009 for the inaugural WPS (Women’s Pro Soccer) league, where she won a National Championship. Sitch continued her professional career representing a few teams in the league, Western New York and Atlanta, while ending her professional playing career in 2014, Sitch represented her hometown with the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL. Throughout her 9-year professional career, Sitch traveled the world playing professionally in Sweden with Balinge and Hammarby, while also traveling and playing with Melbourne Victory for a season.

Sitch is currently in her third year at University of Chicago, where she is the assistant coach of the women’s soccer program. In her three seasons the team has competed in the Final Four twice, losing in the National Semi Final 2016 and Finals in 2017. Earning Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year 2016, UAA Coaching Staff of the Year in 2016 and 2017. She has had the honor of coaching 3 D3 All-Americans, UAA Player of the Year and UAA Rookie of the Year.

Sitch now resides in Chicago where she has coached with Chicago City Soccer Club and LTSC out of Lisle. She also has coached individuals and small groups for over the past 5 years.

Fun fact, Sitch competes in half ironmans 70.3, runs marathons, and competed in Ironman 70.3 World Championship 2017 in Chattanooga, TN.
